IPCC report very concerning for India

Increasing heat waves and droughts, increased rainfall events and more cyclonic activity are likely to occur across India and the subcontinent over the next few decades, states the Inter-governmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) Working Group-I report released on Monday. Summary of Report is attached.

Can we in this circle please discuss what can be done to minimise heat waves extreme rainfall events, droughts, flooding and cyclones in India? more

Plant bamboo trees. It helps in generating oxygen, grows fast and is good for the environment. However, we cannot control nature. This can only be controlled by the Almighty, so if we in the Local Circles, pray fervently, the adversity will pass. Note how the USA has been affected in the last week with floods, no electricity, no food or water, this region is not heavily populated, nevertheless it is devastated. So what are the suggestions? Is it climate change, bad habits of people throwing garbage anywhere and everywhere, polluting water bodies???? more
population control and plantation are immediate requirements....61000 lightening strikes on a single day in one area is too much....Orissa tops the list for some reason...most deaths are in UP.... On Mon, 09 Aug 2021 19:43:40 +0530 Vinita Agrawal wrote > more
Let's plan the small sustainable solutions with wise use of natural resources. We can find the way to sustain in climate change crisis. Number of green soldiers needs to get increased. Awareness creation helps to train the populations about green building, organic agriculture, waste mangement and herbal traditions. Let's join hands to reset positively. more
Urbanisation and population put excessive pressure on land, which in any case is finite.. It's about time that we start defining development itself.. May be back to basic... Need to simplify life and life styles.. more
Stop environmental destruction in the name of development. Stop concretizing, start greening. Stop pollution of air and water, harvest rain water effectively. The loss of lives lost by these mindless projects will be multiple times the jobs they create. Imagine this, ₹28,000 crore worth of industrial investment projects approved (including plastic manufacturing 😠) in Karnataka. This would generate 15000 jobs. Is it worth it? more
