IPL ads
I dont know who all is making money but the IPL ads are a disaster. Thumsup/Coke, Pan Masala, Condoms, Gambling and the list continues on and on.
Why is the Consumer Affairs Ministry become such a dead department. I thought they brought in Consumer Protection Act and will do something in favour of consumer esp against misleading ad.
But there is literally no action. As if Govt officials cant see all thats being shown. more

Perhaps Consumer Affairs Ministry is having an illegitimate Affair with these misleading Advertisers....after all these staffers must also have been hit by COVID - half pay syndrome so they could well be supplementing their salary by tacit allowance - just a passing thought. more

Yes, there are plenty of misleading advts. and there is literally no action by the consumer affairs Ministry. It seem the regulation against misleading advts. are just an eye wash. more

If celebrities decide not to take part in any advertisement then alone bad advertisement be controlled. But celebrities already super rich want to become further rich as the case of Amitab Bachchan. more
