Auction for Package A & B of IPL has concluded. The figure stopped at Rs 43,050 crore.

Rs57 cr for TV per match

For a country whose one day team has been shown the dust by south africa the Ipl auction is a joke on lower and middle class of India.

It may be considered as a medium to providing opportunities to players to show talent for national selection and money for them selves. Directly are indirectly more cricket dependents and indirect emploment ,are supported. As everyone knows the rich beleaves that they can make the country dance to their tunes With cricket , news channels and news papers. Covid made people poor but the rich have become more rich. When we can't stop it enjoy it. more
Sorry I cannot comment as I dont watch cricket but was surprised to see soooo much money involved. The government does nothing for the poor and the middle class and are money splashed like this, what a shame! Our roads in Maharashtra are a sham, there is no electricity in our city Pune for hours no housing for the really poor and the government instead of looking to these basic issues encourages IPL! more
psychologically blending sports with money is Gambling... Country has to ban the sports converted to business and should promote more youngsters and children fascinate with its enlightenment. Country has to prove that it instills good virtue and value to its citizens. When country entertains such gambling then, its not really valuing the true heritage of sports. Normally, sports should be sports and not the gambling game. Imagine the investors who pumped so much of money, will grab the attention of the public from all quarters of his visual slots in the society. Then that makes more citizens to go jobless and concentrate on these so called sport activities. At some point certain games are in an fix. What the author said is correct. We need to refrain our sports and save our sports from these kind of clutches and ensure they are played in genuine without any commemorative commercials in it. Give back the genuinely feel to the sports. We had peace when we watched when kapil and bedi played. Today, we have stress watching the sports of cricket. LETS UNDERSTAND HOW WE INJECT OURSELVES AND LIVE PSUDO WAY. more
This is not an issue to be discussed in this forum. Secondly, it is funny to read that the author considers Bollywood movies a better choice over and above sports, which, according to her, are rich with lessons and messages good for our society and children! more
