IRCTC : Procedure being followed for Wait Listed Tickets issued from en-route stations

Many Members have raised issue on the procedure being followed on Wait Listed Tickets issued from Intermediate / en-route stations as Remote Location Wait List (RLWL).
Even though the ticket is booked 60 days earlier but RLWL ticket will be confirmed only after wait listed tickets (even if tickets are issued few days earlier) of Originating & Terminating stations is over. This makes the Passengers guessing till Chart is prepared.
Do not understand WHO HAS FORMED SUCH A STUPID CONDITIONS & MAKE CITIZENS LIFE MISERABLE TO WAIT TILL LAST MOMENT GUESSING WHETHER THEY WILL BE TRAVELLING OR NOT ? Many a occasions, it is effecting mental conditions of Sr Citizens. This has happened with us many times in the past.
We had purchased 3 AC Ticket from Jalgaon - Vadodara for travel on 13/02/2019 on 13/12/2018 as RLWL 12 & 13 (PNR No. 456-5071051) & even as on date (21/01/2019) after 40 days, it stands the same. It means, we will be waiting till CHART IS PREPARED ON THE DATE OF JOURNEY. It is really disgusting.
Railway Board / Ministers are requested to review this seriously & make changes to Passengers friendly. more

Agreed that RLWL gets a chance only after adjusting full Wait List, is most stupid. Trust bureaucrats create such mega mistake / bloomers. I think this is done to give backdoor advantage to these bureaucrats. more

Many people are never tired in issuing repeated tweets/whatsapp messages on the topic of Ease of Doing Business and India climbed some 70 points bla bla bla bla. Ok It may be true. But what about the poor railway passengers who are doing business with IRCTC. What is the Ease of Business Index for IRCTC. It will not get even the last 100th position, if all public services are put on vote by the customers. Income Tax e-filing portal, Bank portals, Passport seva, even GST portal will get higher ranks. But I am challenging IRCTC will occupy the lowest point. And next year, you add some more services, then definitely IRCTC will further go down. IRCTC Masters ---you are minting poor public money and enjoying the public inconvenience. It is not Good. Please rectify your method and draconian unilateral dictats. more

I am inclined to agree with Shri DILIP BISWAS. People from intermediate stations have to travel much less compared to passengers going from one end to other. Perhaps Railways have given priority to longer distance travelers and designed the rule. Further we should also appreciate that long distance traveler improves occupancy giving higher a revenue to Railways. On the whole the rule does not appear to be a Draconian rule, to my mind.
