IRCTC charges cancelation fees 60 Rs on cancelation ticket, but what logic behind that you charge that fees on waiting list or waiting tickets, as far as passenger wait for last moment for confirmation. It's totally illogical, every passenger look for confirm ticket and whenever they get, waiting ticket they cancel, so why passengers are bear the cancelation fees, what customer fault at that point of time, it need to be waived, and again railway is for public welfare and not " Dhan Ugaahi"

Senior Citizens who are compelled to book in advance due to last minute trouble and have to cancel the ticket due to various reasons are charged a huge sum and are at a loss even though they are surviving on saving. The cancellation charges for Senior Citizens should be looked into and reduced to the previous levels. The Service and other cess charged by IRCTC should also be refunded, as the charges levied are for service to be provided which has not been availed by the passenger. A very serious issue which I have written time and again without any response from the IRCTC or the RAILWAYS more
Govt should consider that the railways is the ultimate commuting option aviable for the public in general. As such cancellation charges for tickets cancelled till the final chart is prepared must be at a very nominal charge since such seats freed on cancellation will be available for wait listed passengers. Objective of the Railways should be to provide commuting facilities to the public. Railways however can think of running premium trains at affordable rates. Thanks more
I booked a ticket in AC -I class 4 months in advance and got cancelled just 3 days before journey date. Railways charged me Rs. 250 plus S.T. per passenger as cancellation fee. In other case I cancelled pre-booked ticket 3 months prior to the journey date, railways charged the same fee, this not justified. This needs to be reviewed. It should be telescopic. more
