IRCTC new portal

The new portal of irctc is one of the worst portals I have experienced. It does not give the information which we want. We can get only what it wants to give. Like, if we want to know our previous bookings or download our booked ticket or see history, I could not find how to do it. The opening page itself, it asks only for booking to be done. What if I want only information, new or previous ?
Previous site was much better, well organised and better to understand. The new one is very difficult to handle and gives only unnecessary unwanted information.
Why did the railways complicate the matter so much ? It is better to keep things simple. more

The new site is not eye-catching. Railways should think of a better colour contrast. As for information u will get almost all information under "MY ACCOUNT" once u log in. more  
I tried the new IRCTC portal second time today to book a tatkal ticket. Results were same as previous. NOT USER FRIENDLY. First the annoying advertisements: I don't understand why the f*** they want these ads to be on your face while being in a hurry to get a confirmed ticket. Second the payment method: I tried five-six times with both of my credit cards but all the time the portal said that I have input invalid Pin...I mean which pin is it talking about...the credit card no, my name, cvv and then the messed up pop-up question were all answered correctly and then also the damned website says invalid pin. I'm pretty sure they are trying all methods to deter the passengers to book tatkal. They must simply block all the tatkal booking if they don't want to sale. Eliminate the tatkal scenario once and for all. And if possible switch to the previous website....as it was a lot more easier to book from that portal. more  
i think you have not logged in. that is why the confusion, i thing the new site is easy to use, no need to log for knowing availablity, pnr etc more

iT IS TERRIBLE. Fist time I logged, it made it almost impossible to understand how to operate. Worst of all, previously, e tickets as well as window tickets listed the names of valid IDs , Noe only silly ads. Further, same is the affairs with indianrail.gov.in which i used in past to know the information. Now both these websites have gone completely customer unfriendly. One can get the required details after searching/ doing several steps instead of one click availability that most passengers will want. Its print ticket command simply never worked and I had to print the whole by print screen. more
