Irrational Reliance Jio functionality.

Today, I would like every Jio users to be alert and direct them towards their unethical secret activity. I traced an issue in its promised mobile data under Summer plan.
Issue: persistent from last 3 days. Every morning I receive sms stating my 50% or 70% or even 90% have exhausted. I checked my usage in jio app and it shows my phone consumed approx 450 to 500 mb out of 1 GB data early morning arround 5.30am sleeping and no internet activity that time. Hence check the same for last few early morning readings and it shows the same high usage. So last night I turned of my mobile data. Turned it on at 7am. As soon as I did that, i was shocked by its usage readings. It shows approx 433 mb used at 7am. I have another phone which I connect to this through hub spot also I all app auto update is on. But still im sure 500 mb update that too at same morning time is unusual and have raised a service query with Jio. Also, I have a 3T which volte enabled but its difficult to dial through phone caller app through jio network. So I download jio dialer which is worse. It does not give user an option to dial through sim 1 or sim 2, whicle messaging it asks for selection. Also, it does not allow me to call through sim 2 through phone default dialer for that, first i have to turn off jio mobile data. Strange.

The culprit is possibly WhatsApp. In WhatsApp, please go to settings, then Chat Backup and check in case your messages are being backed up on the google drive. This is the default setting. The large data consumption is when you back up the videos too. Turn this off or uncheck the box "Include Videos". This is the default setting on WhatsApp. And by the way madamji or sirji, if it had not been for Jio we all would still have been paying Rs 50 to 100 for 1 GB. Today we are getting 360 GB in 404 Rs and that too by BSNL !! Mr. Mukesh Ambani has churned this whole telecom industry again and for the second time in his life time. Let us investigate, correct ourselves and only then blame the Ambanis. more

Its a Mukesh Ambani owned company, so, get prepared for many more surprises. There is no reason to believe that a person like Mukesh Ambani will give anything to the citizens free of cost. He will definitely recover the prices with interest during the coming future. more

I had the same issue, i found that it was due to a backup activity running on android. The biggest culprit of the data size was Whatsapp. Kindly check that. I am using it for a very long time now. I dont even see a iota of data being taken away or used unnecessarily. more
