Is Aadhaar linkage to bank acct and mobile legal?
Neither the Aadhaar linkage to mobiles nor the linkage to bank accounts is legal. In fact, it even violates the orders of the Supreme Court and is counter to the Rule of Law. The coercion to link Aadhaar to mobile phones started because of the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) and the Department of Telecom (DoT) colluded to ignore the Court’s orders, the rule of law, and existing legislation to produce notifications that mislead, misquote and cause coercion.

I feel the need to link the Adhaar to our bank accounts and mobile phones as a violation of my privacy. Aadhaar was created to prevent leakages in the system for subsidies that were given to the public. Since I am not getting any subsidies I do not see why I should give my Aadhaar. I am in agreement if I get some subsidy from the Government I should uniquely identify myself and am all in favour of that. Now that the PAN has been linked to Aadhaar, and it is compulsory to provide PAN to open an account, that should suffice as sufficient proof of identity. Simply adding Aadhaar as another check is unjustified under the circumstances. more

Can Transparency International India file a PIL in the court challenging this coercive exercise by the government ignoring the court rulings on the matter? This is violation of the rights of the citizens. more

aadhar should be linked with during voting also , so that corrupt politicians will not win the election n politics will be clean n good people will join it . any type of voting such as ward member , MLA, MP etc more
