Is aviation minister facilitator of airline loot

A friend who was booking this am said the airfare from Delhi to Leh, one way is now Rs 30,000 in economy class.

The Govt by removing fare cap has made a gross mistake something that enables airlines to loot customers for last minute flights. When someone has death in the family or a parent in ICU, these entities want to profit from you.

If the aviation minister is the facilitator he or she should be fired. more

Such practise is really new in this regime. Govt. does and impose law whenever feels right. Behaves like typical Baniya. It's really an unhealthy practise. more
There must be some capping on the fare. more
This is very unfair charging so much more
Pathetic profiteering. There must be a published price band and airlines should not be skimming people. There could be emergencies and ocassions when people need to rush and there may be no time to waste on looking for alternatives. There need not be a MRP on the price, but a price rationale needs to be in place to prevent surge pricing that is more than over a few times the normal fare. more
I would rather vote for a more rational approach. You don’t fire an elected representative for high fares, surely last minute high fares are unfair but this model has been exported from the US and Europe where I suppose relations have little meaning. One should be charged only base fair and refunded additional hike in emergency cases like death hospitalizations after proof is provided. I feel this was done to revive travel after covid and even a Dubai ticket costs like 11500/-.Charges like 30000/- for domestic is daylight robbery, but that’s what low cost carriers are about. Iam missing Jet and erstwhile KF,India needs some premium travel airlines to show the difference! more
