Is flying Indigo unsafe?

India has stepped up scrutiny of Pratt engines on Airbus A320neo jets. That has identified more engines -- at least 130 compared with a previous estimate of 110 -- that need to be replaced due to a risk of shutting down mid air. IndiGo can't expand before fixing this.

When you book an indigo flight ask them if it has neo engine?? If yes dont book till they show proof that they have taken action. more

Flying of aircraft with such engines must be completely banned by the government. After all air lines can't be permitted under any circumstances to put the lives of thousands of our people into such high risks. The aviation ministry should immediately look into the issue and initiate all necessary actions to protect the lives of our people. more
why is DGCA not taking action against such unsafe engines ? also there will be global precedents which can help identify what other countries are doing... like Boeing 737max planes had to be grounded, similarly the NEO aircrafts airworthiness needs to be recertified or else ground them enmass.. and for public , it is best to avoid unless there is no other airline serving that location more
If it not safe and Indigo is not giving confirmation of engine , then It is better to avoid booking. more
This is the information obtained on telephone number 0124 6173838 on Dec 23, 2019: while type of aircraft on a particular sector is known, the engine model on that aircraft will be known only on the day of travel. more
The seating arrangement and leg space in Indigo Planes is very cramped and uncomfortable I have been writing to them but there is no reply or even acknowledgement. If a passenger having a Window Seat has to ago to washroom. other two passengers have to get up and give him way. Just imagine what will happen in case of a emergency to passengers siting in middle and Window Seats. Indigo is least bothered about passenger comfort and safety but they are very keen to charge exorbitantly for every thing. more
