Is India becoming a Chinese puppet state?

A recent news item in India Times News website mentions about a Chinese electric bus maker setting about a second manufacturing plant in Hyderabad. Electric bus technology is nothing when compared to Cryogenic rockets and if we can develop the latter on our own, why not electric buses from scratch too?

We must remember that China is a country which has consistently been supporting Pakistan in every international forum on every conceivable issue. Pakistan has gifted them huge tract of areas in Ladakh region of POK. China has been consistently opposing India for UN security council permanent membership (ironic considering that PM Nehru surrendered the offer of Permanent membership in UNSC and insisted that it should be given to China).

I feel that under NDA 1 and NDA 2 too much of manufacturing is being surrendered to Chinese companies in the guise of make-in-India initiative. I am sure there may be others who feel that way too. Already too much of mobile phone and associated infrastructure is in Chinese hands which will be already being used by them without a doubt for spying.

As an Engineer, my strong feeling is that unless our government encourages design and manufacture of all essential machinery by Indian companies and keep out Chinese companies citing China's political stand against India, we are slowly but surely approaching a situation where we will be economically and militarily colonised by China (much like Britain did for 300 years) and treated as a big market and nothing else. The money we pay to China will be given as grants to Pakistan to send armed terrorists to kill our people, just like the American aid to Pakistan for fighting terrorism is being used by them to wage direct and proxy wars on us.

Of course all our so called Industrialists are nothing but traders at heart and designing and manufacturing from scratch is not going to get them quick profits. They would rather import stuff from China and sell them unless Government comes down on them very strongly.

Going by the past trends I am very pessimistic of our leaders seeing the facts that stare at their face before it is too late and I have almost resigned to my children and their future generations living in a future Chinese puppet state. more

For future security leaks and threats by countries who are against us should be denied investments in India .They must go through central ext affairs ministry for approval more
It's fine they need shapre and man power from India.... Profit or loss they will be with more
Naturally China treats India and Indians as garbage, with that kind of attitude. more
FDIs becoming the best opportunity to States to reduce indigenous investment. Of course Political Parties are so interested . National Industry since '95 set aside JUST adopting this double beneficial Global tie-ups ALLOWING STORAGE OF INDIAN WEALTH. Using for Land and Buildings , Gold and Pearls . TOTALLY UNPRODUCTIVE. more
FDI is good. But FDI from China is against our national interest. That was the point of the post. And developing indigenous designing and manufacturing capacity is the best ultimate solution for our growth. Unfortunately those whose views and decisions matter seem to be in living in their own dreamland. more
