Is the Delhi Police corrupt? and If CIC is performing its role honestly? or there is something beyond it?
As per one of the accused, he was implicated falsely by Delhi Police in a case. No information was being received from Delhi Police under RTI Act 2005. In final hearing with CIC on a question to Delhi Police by CIC as to why the file should not be shown to the accused, Delhi Police stated "There is certain information which is not to be disclosed because the contents of some material may benefit the person accused in the court proceedings". What it means?. I repeat here that the person was implicated falsely and revealing of the information will bring out the so called nexus in the Delhi Police. more

@partha Sarthi: Looking at the above statement, it seems that the DElhi Police does not want that the falsely implicated accused should get benefit. Then why investigation? Why not shot a person as soon as he is suspected. Shashi Tharoor should have been shot day before yesterday more

"There is certain information which is not to be disclosed " - the best way to escape..... UPA government and their other allies (political) doing the same. So why should we blame the police only. more

@ S.K. VIRMANI - Even the CIC is not up to the mark. The judgment given in case of housing cooperatives is so retrograde that it shocks the conscience. In the said judgment it has been held that the cooperative are out of the purview of the RTI Act because there is no state funding. The CIC ignored the fact that housing societies in Delhi are allotted land by the DDA at heavily subsidised rates thus indirectly benefitting from state funding. As a result hundreds of applications under RTI are routinely rejected by the societies quoting this judgment. more
