Is there fault in curriculum of History books
Yesterday, I was referring History book of 10 standard CBSE pattern and ask student about Indian History, after that came to know, why Students are shouting against our own Country. It’s a fault of curriculum , study matter and angle of thoughts they are getting.
We will get the returns of what we are providing in the form of education. I think writers of these books are required to study Indian history or need to change writers. They need to understand the basic of Indian Philosophy and ancient knowledge. As I read, foreign Historians are more curious and impressed about Ancient India History rather than our today's so called scholars . More emphasis is required on India’s Rich Culture.
Emperor Vikramaditya , Maharaja Bhoj , Porus , Emperor Chadragupt , Pannini , Varahmihir , Padmagupt ,Aarybhatt , Harshwardhan , Ashoka , Chankya , Krishna , Kanv , Kalidas , Rana Pratap , Shivaji , Pruthviraj Chouhan, Gyaneshwar , Yagyvalk and so many has great importance in Bhartiya History . Students have less knowledge of all these characters.
Our culture is more scientific instead of mythical. We need to explore and study.
Yes there is requirement of teaching World History, but it should not cover whole curriculum. Bhartiya Values can only be implemented through the stories of above characters.
Let us not copy and follow others; we have much more of our own.
Let us not implement Lord Macaulay’s Plan about India to capture the mind of Indians.

we have been taught the HISTORY WRITTEN AND IMPOSED ON US BY THE BRITISH HISTORIANS, AND WE LIKE IMPORTED THINGS ONLY. WHICH IS THE AUTHENTIC HISTORY BOOK CAN YOU SUGGEST? Had you share your tel.number I would have loved to talk to you. Because there are many such myts spreaded since centuries. AND NO STUDENT HAS INTEREST IN TAKING HISTORY AS A SUBJECT IN SHCOOLS OR COLLEGES, IF SO IT IS JUST BECAUSE NOT HE IS INTERESED BUT OUT OF COMPULSION. more

We have already screwed up our education system. All promotions particularly in class X and XII and mushroomed engineering and medical colleges particularly in private sector clearly indicates that some one has strategically worked to destroy our education system. Thanks more

Problem is that (one of my colleague told me) a person need to feed money to minister to approve his/her book in the curriculum for specific standard. Ministry is not concerned about quality of books. They are more concerned about how much money they are getting to approve his/her book. Definitely, this is students loss but nobody is worried about it as corruption is deep in our country. more

The earlier governments are not believing that Ram existed and Ram Sethu was a reality .Yes history through British historians eyes has been our knowledge.Hinduism is on the defensive in a country of majority Hindus .we have to prove that we existed.New thoughts on religion, doubts on existing religion and history through reformists eyes !What a time for Indians ? more
