ISSUE OF RAC / WAITLIST TICKETS AT FULL RATE AND FORCING PASSENGERS TO TRAVEL SITTING UNDER RAC SYSTEM ?
Railways are issuing RAC / WAIT LIST TICKETS in large numbers for a particular train by collecting full charges. Invariably some passengers are forced to travel full journey by sitting in RAC seats without facility of Bed Roll and without having proper space of keeping luggage . In addition after paying full charges why passenger must suffer due to unfair practices adopted by Railways. Suggestion- Stop Issuing RAC tickets. Issue only Waitlist tickets. Passengers with confirmed berths only can travel ... Or else at the time of booking tickets collect only sitting charges and after confirmation collect difference charges. No extra collection if forced to travel by RAC .... Railways must stop this unfair practices.. more

Proud if it is implemented. The vigilense raid happened with TT occationally in train and station. The bribe wont happened. more

Yes,Jhaver has a valid point.It is not proper to levy full reservation charges for a berth not provided.Also the side berth can not support 3 pssengers for sitting or even keeping their luggage.Collecting full fare was started later to ease the work of TTEs.Instead the bay seats should be allotted to RAC, say 4 in 3seat berth where if one is confirmed all the 4 will be accomodated.(The upper berth is confirmed anyway) more

True, there is no value for money collected by tax payers! Actually, it is the duty of TTE to accommodate such commuters. But, the real scene is that commuters have to go in search of TTE, beg for the berth and then wait endlessly in a hope to get one before reaching the destination. Oops, when I paid 3x the ticket charge under dynamic charge for a sleeper coach, actually there were 11 passengers in my compartment, all together in a 38 hours journey of hot summer. more
