Issues with Pathology Labs (Covid and other tests)

Many of you participated in the LocalCircles survey almost a year ago to understand level of trust people have in pathology labs.

LocalCircles Pathology Services Report

This year has been a highly unusual one due to COVID and many of us and our family members and friends have gotten COVID tests done via pathology labs. Please share all the issues you have faced. Basis your inputs, if needed, we will construct a survey to understand and escalate the issues for action by various stakeholders.

We look forward to your inputs! more

Many Pathlabs are working without any qualified Pathologist. Such Pasthlabs are to be closed immediately. NABL accreditation and quarterly audit by qualified NABL auditors, should be made mandatory. There should be Govt. evaluated/ approved tariffs for each procedure. more
Yes quite a hif gh % are doubtful whether they are getting services for what they pay . We should stick to labs of our selection and choice only , closer to our residences as far as possible. How should check / gauge the sincerity of the Labs : If we are diabetic or cholestrol prone patients we must roughly know where we stand regarding the blood concentrations. we can always check our blood after festivals when we consume sweets. Like wise those who indulge in fatty & cholestro rich foods . This should reflect on the blood picture post prandial. If the results are closer t our perception and shows an increase , we can more or less stiick to that Lab. THAT WAY WE ALSO BECOME AWARE OF WHAT WE EAT AND REASON OUT . more
For testing they loot money.State Govts to fix the rates more
