Form a Local Circle in your city " PROFESSIONALS FOR CITY" .to replace politicians by Professionals in Civic Boy. Form groups of 4 to 10 persons in each ward and select a good well educated person to be the representative of that ward in next civic election. At present we don’t bother for Municipal elections, we just put our stamp on a candidate selected by Politicians. On the contrary people of the area should choose an honest well educated person and talk about him in your Ward. Let him contest and Win the election. When such persons will sit in Civic Body...you get answer to your concern. more

It is not south or north India and it is indians. Managing public toilets are in the hands of local higherups and serviced by their followers. If u go to tirupathi bus stand one lady caretaker demanded 7 rupees. It is only 3 rupees in the notice board. She replied it is alright u use toilet without water as water was under her control. In badrinath he demanded 10 rupees telling that water is scarce. more

Bijoya Padhy is right. One cannot make sweeping statements.Reasonable toilet services have been provided by Government or private sector especially in bus stands or hotels. The maintenance may be or may not be good in some cases.People should also contribute for cleanliness especially those who smoke throw cigarattes in toilets apart from other consumable goods like pan parag. more
