it is true some of Railway Employeesiss miss used on the Railway pass mostly it is done in the Northern regions

I know some railway employees get the pass for some distance place and simply holding this pass in hand they are travelling as many times as they wish in sub-urban trains and other short distance trains enrroute But TTEs are not making entries in this passes, when the holders use this pass for routine/frequent visits. If TTEs make entry on this they cannot use it for further use. Since the validity of pass is 3 months, SOME employees are using this pass as SEASON TICKETS. this should be stopped. more
I agree for the passes issued to the staff. But proper entries are not made for booking and cancellation of passes which creates scarcity. Also railway running staff never cancel their passes after use and make multiple travels by the same pass there by make railway to lose. These things should be checked to have better service for public. more
I work in a manufacturing unit. I don't get a gram of my product free. Why these passes at all? Instead, they may be offered different taxable perks. Otherwise half the capacity of all trains India at any given time would be full of Railmen only. more
Yes it is possible that there is scope for mis use /forging of passes. I do not know whether the usage of passes are undergoing post verification. My suggestion is to computerise the issue of paases and ensure the genuine issue Of paases and its proper usage by the genuine Railway Employees based on ther roll numbers etc more
The reason for misuse cannot directly be attributed to the pass holders. it is just because of the system loopholes. with advent of e governance, the system of issuing passes to railway employees also should be done through e pass system. more
