Jahan Panah City Forest

Jahan Panah City Forest is a boon to residents in living in the periphery. It is not only green patch & natural forest it provides ample walking and exercising space. JP city forest was once explored as a cycling venue both during Asian Games as well as during CWG-2010 but cyclicling is still barred for reasons better known to authorities.

Although cycling is banned but motorcycle & Automobiles are regularly used by both police, security staff and some times by errant public leaving no automobile smoke free zone anywhere in Delhi. Why can't police and patrolling security staff uses battery operated tricycles. more

Well let us recognize the need to provide comprehensive solution then involve experts in the field. Tunnel may not be cost effective solution we may need another better cost effective ways. There may be many better solutions MP may be roped in to highlight the issue. more
Tunnel from Chiragh Delhi to Shooting range (passing under the Forest ) is one solution . Let us take up with our MP . more
There should be comprehensive solution to all issues related to Jahan Panah City Forest as well as for traffic plying outside. I can foresee that this traffic volume will increase many folds in short term once underbridge is made at Sarita Vihar. All the hold poits on the road from Okhla to Ring Road may need to be addressed now rather when the fire breaks out. more
PTA mtg in Don Bosco .Board exams, ...We badly need traffic lights more
I agree with Mr. Sethi that opposite Jahan Panah City forest there is too much congestion. For this congestion many are involved Police, Administration, Public and civic authorities. Police because they ignore steet vendors encroaching pavements, civic authorities for permitting Bus/Auto Richshaw stand right at the crossing. Administration for allowing schools to alight and deboard school busses on the Road there is virtually full day time problem only at night there is some respite. Innovative solution proving chilren and pick up points below the school by boaring tunnels could be a far fetched solution. Red light at crossing in todays situation will increase problem rather than solving it. more
