I think the opposition members have all gone nuts. I thought the learned judges of the SC have common sense and act accordingly. Now every disgruntled judge of the supreme court wants his piece of the cake. Every judge wants to become a Chief Justice!!!! It is high time that the law is modified to bar the lawyer MPs from attending the courts. When a common man cannot have two jobs at the same time, how are they justified to have two incomes, one as a MP/MLA and the other as a lawyer? What is the logic? Just because of your position as law makers, you turn the rules and laws to your advantage? Don't you have shame to cheat the people of your own country? It is high time that the common people revolt against such looters and thieves and bring democracy back on its feet. We do not need such fools to govern us. Let us make India as a President ruled country. At least the collective responsibility which they claim now will be gone and there will be only one person answerable to the people. It is high time that the elected people must have the right to call back the person they elected. This will settle many MP/MLAs fate. more

If agree this argument, no businessman or farmers having substantial land, no union leader as he is having interest in rules applicable to labourers etc can't be Mp/MLA. more

Yes.I agree and the moment an advocate is elected/selected for post of profit he should'nt be allowed to appear in court more

Many persons put dam charges for their personal benefits. In such cases our all systems will fail if concerned authorities sit aside on such charges. more

Sorry to say that, the Learned members of the forum are discussing the matter without taking the merits of the matter in consideration. If we really need to discuss the matter, we should study the charges levied and then discuss the matter. In all fairness, after impeachment charges are levied against CJI, CJI should step down especially in view that he will anyway retire in October this year. Why does he want to continue for another 6 months or so? Any hidden agenda? more

There is laid down procedure for impeachment of a Judge.Chairman of Rajya Sabha,after consultation with cositution xsperts and others,if he forms a comety then only a judge should not discharge his dutied more

Major reasons are [1] Cases getting increased resultant to issues identified at the time of Demonetization Campaign [2] CJI comment on System of Political Parties allowing Convicted to lead Political Party as well as nominating One to Rule at his Option [3] E.C. that prefer the same issue recollecting their motion of 2013 and alike new Regulation AND , [4] backing 4 S.C. Judges that preferred Social Media .

I feel that frustrated people should abstain from setting their Score against national interest. The lawyers in political posts must not be allowed to practice. more

Not only that, these lawyers are charging exorbitant fees for each hearing which runs in lacs of rupees and beyond the capacity of the common man to hire them. They are mainly hired by the billionaires by virtue of their commercial/professional activities and/or family back grounds. These lawyers also shamelessly fight the cases of the criminals and law breakers. The country is progressing towards anarchy taking undue advantage of democracy and ultimately it may lead towards autocracy! more
