Judiciary

In democracy we consider the elected representatves are supreme and others viz. Executive, Judiciary, Press help elected representatives to discharge their duties effectively.
Thus Paliament is law maker and Judiciary is law interpretor and Executive is law enforcement authority. If SC judgement is extended, Executive can also ask to choose their chief.
Judiciary cannot alter even one law, except interpretting, finding draw back in law. Though Judiciary is one of the pillars of democracy, it is expected to function in coordination with Legislature. SC asked previous govt to bring CCC, but govt did not do it. It asked Govt to stop subsidy for Haj but govt continues it even today.
However, coming back to discussion, the judiciary is still in its own paradise, enjoying vacation not bothered about 45 lakh pending cases in court, extending cases for 25 years losing relevance of judgement when it is delivered. Lawyers are equally corrupt, paid to get bails, adjournment, prolonging cases. Equally our elected representatives have also become so corrupt today, the election has lost its significance and MPs have become looters. more

Make judicial system fully self financing. Everything will take care of itself automatically. more
I would urge you ALL to think OUT OF THE BOX if you want a real solution so one is not hampered by self/external constraints..... We already have seen the Constitution hand over their country to elected officials and we are ALL victims of this misjudgment... now it has to be fixed.... starting wiyh the Constitution. Our "founding fathers" were not "free thinkers".... they were overehelmed during independence and basically copied their "past masters and peers" .... mostly from the west.... and India never grew up then... and does not now.... as it hangs on to their apron strings. About time we all grew up... Unshackle yourself from the past and set yourself free... really free.... to find your own power within yourself and your country and not just off shore..... no we do not need "Singaporean wise men" to show us the path... hear.. listen.... but follow your heart.... always..... DIRECT DEMOCRACY IN ALL SPHERES OF GOVERNENCE LEADS TO REAL DEMOCRCAY IN REAL LIFE.... ALL OTHERS ARE ILLUSIONS.... LOOK AT ALL DEMOCRACIES AND YOU WILL SEE HOW DEMOCRACY VIA ELECTED "AGENTS" CONTROLLED BY PARTY BOSSES IS FAILING.... THE COMMON MAN..... and yet you say... nothing is wrong with The Constitution.... Read the Constitution.... you will be more confused than before you started.... you will get the idea why a rewrite is 100% essential.... more
Mr.Goyal constitution cannot change the attitude the society. The problem with we Indians is that we never accept there are problems with us. This was pointed out by one of the visiting Singaporian military delegation couple of years back. We never admit there is problem with us. We can provide free advise to every one (even with out bothering that person requires advice or not) which we do not practice mostly. We always think by high lighting others short comings we can always get away with ours. more
No one is 100% wrong. We need to have multi pronged strategy to educate and imbibe ethical values in common man at basic levels such as schools, families and communities level as a large no of organisations ( both religious and otherwise) are doing to bring socio political changes needed in our country. The task is huge and so are efforts required......but needs to be done for the future of our country's generations. more
