Karnataka 2627 cases in a day

Again someone else's garbage in your back yard. Should the government tell you what to do to take precautions? It is your life and it is for you to safeguard it. Why don't the author and the people comment (the know all) sit at home voluntarily and keep washing hand with soap every hour and sanitize themselves? If anyone dies of Covid it is just another number for the statistics for press and visual media. Also help some people to see their name in these columns. more
During fresh lockdown from 14th July evening, government has given so many exemption which it self is mockery of lockdown...It's a government overconfidence that has put Bangalore in worst situation.. They are too liberal with private hospitals Why? When government has power under disaster management act, take action... With lockdown,Poor's and middle class will suffer... Politician's and upper class have enough money to survive.... more
yeah out of control... more
Lockdown does help temporarily as evidenced if you see what has happened after the first total country lockdown in March/April. Please note that both life and livelihood are important. People will die of hunger if livelihood is not ensured. There are millions with daily wages/earning who will get nothing if there are lockdowns. Let us understand the way the virus spreads. It only comes out from the mouth/nose of an infected person. If he/she wears a mask, the spread can be avoided from that person. If a person does not want to catch the virus, he/she should follow the prevention measures like wearing a mask covering mouth & nose, keep social distance with anyone including relatives/friends/strangers, wash hands whenever you touch any object in public areas, avoid being in a closed area with poor ventilation including AC areas, avoid being in a group events wherein people come close, etc. If these precautionary measures are not followed, the virus will go on and on even if you do multiple lockdowns. Until new drugs are found to combat it, we will have to live with it by taking the necessary care. I am told Spanish Flu, which spread just like Covid 19 & killed millions in 1918, died down only when people understood how it spreads and took the precautions to avoid catching it. No vaccine was found for it and it died down. Government should launch a blitzkrieg Champaign in the media to tell the people that you can catch the virus if you do not take the precautions and government cannot do much to take care of you in hospitals and limited resources. Lockdown is not a good solution more
