Karnataka election results

Really disappointing to see BJP falling short of the halfway majority mark.
Seems like election speeches in regional language have been able to convince voters, especially in South India. Perhaps some were not able to relate to speeches in Hindi.
Many in Bengaluru itself are not able to follow Hindi, then maybe in rural regions, familiarity with Hindi is low. Grooming regional leaders with a strong command in regional language seems to be the key.

Also it seems caste has become a prominent deciding factor in elections. This is quite shocking - losing Himachal Pradesh and then it seems Karnataka also. Maybe Nadda Ji's speeches have not had much impact or maybe caste has changed the scenario. more

If voters are educated well to judge the performance in governance, all these not required, narrow minded voters can damage any kind of democracy, certainly poletecians can exploit them with small words like reservation, ration, train fare, gas fare . potatos, onions etc. In reality they ignore many good performance rolls. more
Reform Election Process at once under democracy power and eliminate the Sludge in Politics more
Losing necessary. Hail India's federalism! Shows BJP's disconnect. Seen in Bengal, Bangla speaking Shubhendu Adhikari casting aspersions. Hate-filled speeches - All negativity. poor followers. BJP not sporting loser. Respect people's verdict. BJP an obstructionist Opposition. डबल इंजन की सरकार रिमोट कंट्रोल करना का बहाना है। See Delhi's LG proxying the BJP. more
Perhaps like North East, it might be prudent for BJP to form pre poll alliance with regional parties in South to build a strong position in South. more
