Seems like election speeches in regional language have been able to convince voters, especially in South India. Perhaps some were not able to relate to speeches in Hindi.
Many in Bengaluru itself are not able to follow Hindi, then maybe in rural regions, familiarity with Hindi is low. Grooming regional leaders with a strong command in regional language seems to be the key.
Also it seems caste has become a prominent deciding factor in elections. This is quite shocking - losing Himachal Pradesh and then it seems Karnataka also. Maybe Nadda Ji's speeches have not had much impact or maybe caste has changed the scenario. more
