Kerala - land devastated

When Kerala was suffering with high rise concrete structures, demolition of hillsides for construction, digging of river beds for sands, encroaching ecologically fragile areas for construction, illegal quarries, no one cared a damn. The State had land mafia with big clout politically and otherwise.

Now the consequences are there for all to see. The greed had no limits so as the catastrophic floods and landslides.

Poor suffered due to greed of the rich.

What government can do is at least for future bring out and enforce Kerala Land utilisation laws irrespective of rich or poor or political affiliations.

If it is not done , similar thing can repeat in future too. more
