Kids Foods Routine - Parents and Experts please share views
I would like to know from parents of kids between 4-8 about routines. How should meals/snacks/milk be spaced so kids have the urge to eat and they do it independently without a lot of reminders and threats. more

Hi Anshu, Make sure that the kid eats something before going to school along with a glass of milk. It may be chocos, cornflakes, biscuits, cheese balls, cheese bread, jam bread - any thing which they LIKE! When they come back from school - instead of giving fruits & juices (which they can have in the evening even if they are not hungry as they love fruits) give them proper lunch (dal, veg & 1-2 rotis or rice - depending on their diet) Later in the evening, offer them some fruits/juices. After an hour give them a glass of milk along with some snacks if they ask for (snacks is optional - try & keep them for the weekends). And finally, dinner time - any veg. along with 1 roti. Time schedule may be - Lunch around 2pm(depends on school-time), Fruits at 5pm, Milk & snacks between 6pm-7pm, Dinner at 8pm Hope this helps :-) more
