Nothing works better than cold fomentation. Don't use Ice directly on skin, wrap it in some cloth. Still better; use pre- cooled dry hankies kept in chill tray of your fridge more

Try this- Works wonders. Is painless, effortless and seemingly harmless. Make a paste of a little haldi with chuna(what they put in pan). Apply it on the bump. Swelling disappears very fast. Have done this for my sons many times. more

Recently my 3-1/2 yr. daughter hit her forehead on the bed & got a big sweeling. We applied ice only, based on the advise of a medical expert on this portal. It took several days for the swelling to subside.. Guess thats the best way out. more
