Doctors have advised me knee arthoscopy for torn meniscus. Will anyone who has undergone this procedure tell me how much benificial it was that too not because of any sports injury etc. but due to general wear and tear. Thank you Dr. Bachani for your valuable opinion. more
to put it correctly ( not only my opinion but based upon scintific studies as well on datas available in literature) TO make your knee normal you need surgery to correct pathology (meniscal etc.) to regain back normal physiology you need physio help . both are complimentary and u cannot neglect either. jointreplacement-sportsurgery.com Dr. Kamal Bachani more
Physiotherapy is the only option to avoid surgery because surgery is not a permanent solution. physiotherapy can't regenerate your meniscus but it can strengthen your muscles and you can live your normal life. you can take physiotherapy feedback from my one patient who got meniscus tear Mrs. Kamlesh Sharma 9910149494 more
Agreed, the menisci cannot be repaired. But the physiotherapy would help in strengthening the muscles around the joint thereby supporting the joint. isn't that right Dr Bachani? I already said arthroscopy is diagnostic :) more
no amount of physio can cure meniscal damage, prevent collateral damage to knee.arthroscopy is a daycare procedure.only thing worth noticing is location/complexity of tear. www.jointreplacement-sportsurgery.com more
