Knee Pain

I am a 53 years old, about 70 kg weight, active man. I go for walk in morning as well as in evening. I also do yoga for about 30 min 5 days a week.
My right knee pains too much. Sometimes it get locks too and I took some time to get my leg straight.
Secondly, when I sit down to wash my cloths and when I get up it takes a few seconds to get straight.
I am not on any medicine though twice went to orthopedic and was diagnosed for Gaut, but now Uric Acid counts are in specified limits.
For what ailment I am heading for and what can be the solution? more

Thanks Ashok ji and Chandwani ji. I shall continue with tel malish to nourish the joint and try to find a good physiotherapist for consultation. more
Hiro Chanwani's suggestion might be acceptable but before that please see that gap between to bones at knee section is lubricated enough & so apply oil and take appropriate ayurvedic medicines first. more
Dear Sanjay Bhatia, It is true everyone believes in reducing movement of the knee. But, I have valid reasons for recommending dand baithaks in slow motion. this will strengthen your muscles below and above knee joint. These muscles get strengthened with long walks also. So, while moving, your body load will be shared by the leg bones and the muscles thereby reducing load on the knee bones and the subsequent reduction in pain. As you know, the knee starts paining due to body load acting on worn out knee bone joint which comes as we age. I have used this method successfully on myself. Now I can walk, run or even climb ten floors without any feeling of pain. You can consult a good physiotherapist who will explain it to you in a better way. more
