Kolkata no more city of joy

Whatever has happened or has been done have been done by persons whose sentiment and ethics have been deeply hurt. Girls are to be given doesn't mean that they will hug openly and do whatever they like in front of a large public gathering, it doesn't mean they will dress up in a shabby manner that will attract ills and evils of other persons, smoking in front of a large public cannot add to a civilized culture. more
Casual and shabby these are two different outfit. A male member in shorts - no problem, but for women and girls it's a problem. Male eyessights needs correction. Also a male smoking in public is alright but for women not. - again same problem. more
This exact mentality is the root cause of the issues raised by Shibani. Enough of moral policing more
  1. Every commuter have a right for their personal space. Showing affection publicly (other type) is intrusion to their space, so objection to this is alright; 2. Women have every right to smoke in public if men are allowed. In villages so many grandmas are a regular smoker; 3. If girls' parents have no objection, a third person need not interfere therein. But in a sex starved society full of male chauvinism and galores of freely available porn women are unsafe with any dress. In Gujarat during festivals lot of women wear backless top without much attention from public. more
Any time men see a lady smoking they assume she is of loose character and sleeps around. Not the case. more
I think they have been treated in absolutely right manner. They deserve it. Will you want to hug your partner openly in public place? Will you allow your teenage daughter to wear shorts and sleeveless in public? Ask yourself. We must always remember our Indian culture. more
East is East & West is West. Eastern culture is different from western culture.Indian value system is totally different from western values. Blindly following the negative attributes of Western culture is not Welcome in India. Try to respect your your own culture, religion & traditional values will make a better society. more
To reply your question I have to get to know your standard of understanding and EDUCATION YOU RECEIVED! BY EDUCATION I DON'T MEAN CERTIFICATES OF SCHOOL/COLLEGE/UNIVERSITY I mean education in WISDOM! It needs a deep understanding and a patient NON VIOLENT LIFESTYLE1 DO YOU BELIEVE IN GOD? IF YES DO YOU LISTEN TO YOUR PARENTS? IF NO YOU ARE UNSUITABLE FOR ANY REPLY! more
India is known/rich by its 'SANATAN' culture only. Should we not try to preserve it? more
Kolkata is not like London n newyork. If girls trying to think that they are modern and they have all the right to do any thing unsocial , its wrong. India is far behind than western countries not even like others Asian countries in modernism. Our country has given right to talk anything but not given permission to act openly. Because our mentality hasn't changed. more
