Kolkata Taxi
In West Bengal, govt. ruling party, all opposition party, both print and electronic media are not bother the regular trouble faced the general people. All they are mutually packed and regularly create one by one issue for misguide and engaged the mind of general people.
Today I discussed only on city taxi. In Kolkata you never find a taxi driver at any time who agree for accept you for your trip without any question and ready for take fare on actual meter reading. Now the major trend is fixed a l.s. amount for your destination. And that is very high. Obviously the figure goes to verry verry high level if they observed that you are in trouble. Refusal is now a common painful issue. If you request to the nearest traffic polish, you are not getting a positive support from him. But sure you will getting some power full speech and suggestion from him. Now trend observed at Howrah stn. taxi drivers are not entre the pre-paid line. And Howrah traffic polish are not ask any question that why they are avoided the pre-paid lane.
Now the question is how long the general people sustain the pains. Is any end point…. Who and when take proper action in this regards. more

Today I booked a Ola cab at around 5.10 P. M. for a trip from Sukanta Nagar (Salk Lake) to Behala 14 no. bus stand. After booking total fare shows Rs. 354/- . When I cross Zoo, I observed that my total fare changed to Rs. 504/-. I noticed this fig. to cab driver. He also don't know what is actual reason. He told me for raise a complain to the authority. Is any solution in this issue? How I raise the complain and to whom and where? more

It's really a big pain. Even ola/ uber drivers cheats you. They asks you to pay the Station rent charges, which again ola deducts from the ride bill. Buses are so unhygienic and if you are a non-bengali then these drivers understands in a minute and charge you like anything. In Mumbai, all the local stations are connected through their main station, as well as in Delhi or at least they are nearby at walking distance but if you land at Howrah, you will have no option except to hire a cab. Ferri is also a cheap option, but again it will not take you the destination and no one helps there for a safe, reasonable/ cheap and comfortable journey. Howrah railway station indeed needs a local/ metro station that can connect to other major local/ metro stations of the city. Specially airport. This way, a lot of traffic can also be reduced and people can have a comfortable journey. more

This TMC government is a government of non performance and complete chaos. No point discussing these issues. TMC for years have been looking the other way on public grievances. There is no other party, including the BJP, to take up this issue. Like CPM, at the time of it's chosing, the TMC will be routed out of power. Whether the same politicians, realign themselves ( like the CPM to now the TMC) to the next winners, is to be seen. Live with the issue. Face the music when you have to travel. No other option. more

Last 2 Months Back in April i was in Kolkata. i had Faced same problem. An-other Problem is OLA & Uber Taxi Driver's Blatantly Refuse Run AC while Travelling. They told AC Running is not Allowed. I was not convinced by his Answer. more
