Land Acquisition by Highways Authority

My father just called and he has received a notification about our farm land being acquired by the Highways Authority of India at 1/100th of the price.

I thought this Government was more in tune with reality and promised that such forced land acquisitions of farmers land will not be done. We only have a limited piece of land and they are talking about acquiring 80% of it.

Can local circles please take this matter up seriously. Whosoever babu is approving these notifications to be issued is doing serious damage to credbility of the Government.

Govt has to pay twice the market rate if land is in urban area and four times if it is in rural area. Should go to the court with Govt notification and payment order. But Govt notification for acquiring land has to be accepted by the land owner as it is for the larger public good. more
You should immediately send copies of all papers to Sri Nitin Gadkari and also to Sri Modiji. There is something wrong as NHAI is paying new rates even in those cases, where payments were not accepted by owners in earlier cases. more
Along with going to court write to PMO as well with full details and attach letters of proof if received any from Highway Authority or any Govt Organization. more
Govt can acquire land but Govt have to pay the 4 times the price and if it's not done then collect papers and approach court might be this may be a misdeed by some official rather than gross mistake at Govt level. more
"... Highways Authority of India at 1/100th of the price. " Sounds like phishing by some organized criminals. Take them to court. more
