1-Urban needs of housing is the first priority .Govt should study by collecting data a as to how much units are utilized both in govt sector and private sector.in every city real estate business on just procrastination has brought huge calamity in investment and land .A large no oh housing units and flats are not bought and are unsold due to surplus availability . We are losing precious land meant for agriculture may be in future we may have to import our food grains, vegetables and fruits from other countries if this goes unchecked. In Telengana it is the reAlity .Govt must not accord permission to convert agricultural land with water sources for constructions. 2-In order to attract industrial investment govt is giving land at very low prices managed by political leaders ,beaurocrats and lower category officials. If itis govt land barren then it can be considered, but forcible acquirement of land from Pvt individuals and pooling them and handing them to industrialists is new dies ease we much watch for. This must be stopped .If land is not available ,the industrialists will buy them at market prices directly from land holders.By involving the govt we are opening all doors for corruption . Land acquirement only for pubLic welfare like roads , projects is valid other wise it is viewed with suspicion. It must stop. 3- A law should be passed to revert back to the owner if the project does not take off in three years .In big scandals like Tatas casein Bengal and similar cases where it is scrapped it must be reverted .Many gangsters acquired land by force if proved by law must be reverted back to owners . 4- Gifting land to employees for association of housing must stop as it is a indirect method of real estate business by association office bearers ,proved in a number of cases. There are policies to be viewed with concern and bills to be passed. Mere punishing a few officers is like cutting some heads of hydra leaving major devil to operate . We must put a end to this policy of appeasing public when in power thus doing disservice to the future generation of citizens. more
- All govt land should be held for the betterment of the people and the state. It is unfortunate that each govt comes in and the first thing they do is sell the land and make a ton of money in bribes. - Agricultural land should not be sold for any purpose but for farming / agriculture. Large tracts of fertile land has been sold to builders and construction companies. In the long term the country will suffer. - Only barren land should be allotted for building purposes. - Land that is being sold to the govt should be put up online and there should be a transparent bidding system. more
