Land Grab by Businessmen
The Patanjali group, through companies controlled by Acharya Balkrishna, and some of their closely-associated land dealers, has picked up more than 400 acres of forested common lands in the Aravalli hills of Faridabad, Haryana.
They reportedly bought village common lands, through zero revenue company's, using fronts. The Haryana govt helpfully steps in, with a change of rules, that helps to consolidate, various land parcels, into contiguous tracts.
lo & behold, values skyrocket.

Amazing are some of these business men. In name of jobs they get land on long term lease from the Govt. Few decades later they create a real estate business out of it. Shame on our politicians more

All land acquisitions by business are meant to grab Farmers' land in connivance with ever willing Govts in power. SEZs are designed to grab land. Acquisition rules stipulates that if busuiness activity does not start in 5years of acquisition, the land should be returned to original owners, but till today not an inch of land has been returned to owners. On top of this Govt wants to scrap this clause. Before we talk of further land grabs Govt should initiate action to return the lands unutilised by corporates. Today ever willing Govts are resorting to "change of use of land" to help corporates to retain the lands illegally kept by corporates. Changing "land use' clause should be immediatelly stopped & all past cases should be investigated & culprits brought to books. more

Acharya Bal Krishan has been offered forest land in Panchkula also, by the Haryana Govt. The purpose for it is to grown trees and herbal plants in the forests. This not only provides crops of herbs, but makes environment better and greener. This also offers a very big employment facility to local poor in tribals/villagers for water, taking care of the plants and collecting the herbs and selling to Patanjali at pre fixed price. WHERE IS PROBLEM MR AMIT MISHRA SIR? WHY YOU WANT TO WASTE OUR TIME BY MAKING US PAY THE SUBSCRIPTION OF THE LINK YOU HAVE MENTIONED. more

What is the purpose of the land grab and what is its legality? If the purpose of land acquisition is in the interest/welfare of common people and or of environment, then it should be encouraged. more
