Laptop restriction

My cousin who is in Delhi with us is leaving from Delhi via Dubai to texas. She has a laptop. Will she be allowed to carry it given new restrictions. more

Only 10 airlines have been named by the US for being responsible to disallow large electronic devices (such as a laptop or Tablet) in CABIN baggage. If you are flying, for example, Emirates (one of the 10), then they will ask you to put the laptop inside yr checked-in bag, you will not be permitted to carry it inside to your seat. However, if you are flying Delta, then you can carry your laptop to yr seat. more

Also if you keep the laptop in your baggage instead of a carry on, then it is not a problem. more

The laptop restriction is only for few countries. India is not one of those countries. more
