Law against bad miuthing

A law to protect businesses from bad mouthing and defamation/ill-reputation is a good idea but will require detailed discussion for formulation and implementation.
As a first step this should be introduced for Govt Authorities to prevent arbitrary misuse of official power for causing defamation/ill-reputation and mental agony to sub-ordinates, superiors or public at large. This can be done through a Govt Circular and can pave the way for a wider bill.

Business thrives on quality and cost. Many products sell by brand name as they are found by users satisfactory for the use and the cost. Many imitations are also sold in market which look like the same as the fast selling one but its performance is not adequate and in use gives problem. Hence the manufacturers give good discount to seller and price it slightly lower than the good quality product. In certain products customer prefers a brand in particular as it is found to be good by their friends or relatives. Bad mouthing makes one suffer mentally . how ever in marketing you need to meet competition and prove your product is better than the competition. Only when it is not possible then some raise bad things about competition. The sub-ordinates superiors and public at arge will suffer only if they defend an inferior product for some vested interest as some one will bad mouth about the choice. It is just like eating a raw fruit than the ripe one. Unless the choice is dictated by some reason general tendency is to bad mouth a product which is inferior and not using a better product available. more
It will affect our freedom of speech.Individuals have a right to give feedback on the quality of any material or service provided by a business house. How can that be abridged? As it is, most business houses are dishonest and do not honour their commitment to good customer service. I have fought and won so many consumer cases against HSBC, BSNL,Whirlpool, New India Assurance, Hotel in Srikalahasti, You Broadband etc. One is submitted fresh against Airtel. One against Spice Jet and one against Indian Railways is yet to be filed. I do not know why these companies claim excellence in customer service and then go all way to harass the customers and not remedy simple problems and then hey pay compensation in court! There is obviously a psychological problem with our business house and poor monitoring of the customer service by the head / chairman of the organisation. But the harassment drains all one's energy. We are going through hell in India by such wicked acts of business class.I am not in favour of any curtailment of customers' rights lest the quality of customer service fly from the frying pan into the fire. more
