A large number of consumables carry highly inflated (upto 2000%) MRPs. The respective authorities should investigate the same and allow reasonable MRPs to avoid continued loot of consumers. Many of the manufacturers are fake and their addresses/Mfg. licences need to be checked on top priority. The quantities/dimensions/contents mentioned on the packing should be checked/tested throughout the year by the Weights & Measure Deptt. more

Making FRP will also not help . It is question of arbitrary printing. FRP can be printed arbitrarily. The punishment should be so hard that the pharma companies should think twice before printing the MRP arbitrarily. This wrong doing is not only happening in case of drugs but also in case of provisions and other goods to attract the customers through heavy discount. more

To stop the loot of customers by all sorts of traders, hospitals etc., Govt. should abolish the concept of MRP and introduce the concept of FRP, i.e., Fixed Retail Price, that should include GST. Without this measure, it will be impossible to control these cheaters, more
