Hi,

I would like to know the below:

1. Is LLM a valid degree without 3 or 5 year LLB.
2. If the degree is obtained, then can the person practice as a lawyer.
3. If the degree is valid and able to practice, then is there any age restriction to join LLM.

After having a law degree, a person can't do law practice. To do legal practice, a person having law degree must get registered with a Advocates Bar Council. more

One can do legal practice only after being registered with a Bar Council. Only a Bar Council decides, which law degree is eligible for registration. Contact the concerned Advocates Bar Council. more

Question is devoid of reasoning. How can there be LLM without LLB or BL?? The NLSIU Bengaluru offers a distance Education course called Master of Business Laws. Any Ram, Raheem and Richards with any degree can join MBL. One cannot Practice Unless one has LLB or BL. LLM OR MBL IS irrelevant!! more
