LEDs Issue seeing Resolution

I am happy to share that 3 weeks ago I posted the issue of not being able to know how the subsidised led can be obtained in DM Noida circle and today received the attached post from the UPPVNL Noida incharge.

I think we have got to find a way of making sure these surveys reach as many govt officials. Every member should be sending the survey they believe in to the govt dept they think shd take action.

More power to community and these local circles. more

It is widely known to educated populace of India that one unit ( one kilowatt hour )of electricity saved is one unit generated. This matter has not been taken seriously by both state and central Govt else the cost of LED lamps would have been reduced to great extent by this time. I do not think the present cost of LED lamps in the market in any way justified. Further in rural India incandescent lamps are used as the cost is low. It is necessary that the electricity distribution companies must issue LED lamps to consumers at great subsidized rates to save energy. Thousands of crores can be saved against new generating station. I would also submit that Govt must control the cost of LED lamps as is being done for life saving drugs. After all it is in no way less important. more
To give an impetus to this project, Govt should ensure the availability of LED bulps throughout, which is not happening now. In most of the cases, places of availability are not known. In my area, I saw this for a very short while and it has not catered the entire population. In view of this how this project would succeed in the long run. Even I am looking for the outlet which sells subsidised LED bulbs but could not fine one in my area. more
