Please give full details of your case with rule position regarding staff quarter for which penal recovery has been made. I will advise you on the issue if it is a petty matter. At best, the department could have held back an amount equal to the disputed amount till the matter is resolved. For readdress of your grievance,Yyu are advised to go through the proper channel i.e. i) write to HOD. ii) write to Deptt of Pension & grievances. iii) Failing the above send a legal notice and if no relief is accorded, file a petition. But simultaneously attempt to get the case resolved citing applicable Rules & Regulations. the case. more

Thanks for your advice. Specific issue involved is recovery of penal rent from my salary without any show-cause notice, which, according to me, is against the rules as well. more
