LESSONS OF PAST - THEIR APPLICATION TODAY - A BETTER TOMORROW
1. Firstly we need to congratulate BJP, its leaders ,supporters ,volunteers and last but not the least Mr. Narendra Modi for their outstanding performance in the 16th Lok Sabha Elections. We must humbly and gracefully accept the fact of unexpected and disappointing performance of AAP. What Mr. Modi is propagating through post victory speeches , if true and gets translated on ground ; perhaps the aspirations of a common man may come true. The main enemy of entire population is corruption at all levels.
2. If the fight is against corruption, then who takes the lead is of no significance and we need to support that person. However, if we fail to read between the lines and can not distinguish two sets of teeth of an elephant then you and me are equally responsible to this menace of corruption.
3. A balance is maintained when there are two equally strong segments who are pulling each other and bring out ante national events in the public domain. One pulls the bad deeds supported with facts and the other tries to pull by justifying their bad deeds. This is nothing new and this is applicable in every democracy. We need to be part of that pull which is well supported by evidence against corrupt activities and high light these vigorously through media. Mere mention of distribution of money to voters by BJP will not solve the problem unless it has sound evidence to support the claim. If such a claim of past activity is being made now- the first question we need to ask why this was not raised when the activity was actually taking place ? Post activity criticism looses credentials.
4. To achieve any goal ,we have to have some basic factors and parameters in place before we try to attempt to get to that goal. What are these essentials ? My assessment and experience tells me following :--
* Your Mission .
* Your motivated Organization.
* Analyze adversary's strong/weak points.
* Appreciation of own resources.
* Formulation of effective plan.
* Incorporation of force multipliers in own plan.
* Converting individual energies into collective.
* Ruthless execution of plans.
* Accurate monitoring during execution.
* Mission accomplishment.
* Translating post victory plans to practice.
5. If you agree with me with my thought process then we need to sit down together and analyze each aspect in great details through repeated deliberations . The shortcomings will clearly emerge out. Once we are sure of what we are looking for and how to get there ; out strategy will be effective and rewarding.
6. As said earlier , unless we have an effective government and much more potent opposition - I am afraid the equilibrium can never be maintained. Power and authority in the hands of a strong ruler may prove to be counter productive. That ruler then enjoys the freedom of using the authority vested on him for personal consolidation and to fulfill hidden agenda. An effective and corruption free governance is dictated by this balance of power and a common man is the main fuel to project this power to pave the road.
7. Some of you may recollect what I had said earlier " whenever things start going wrong in your command - start looking for flaws in concentric circles starting from your own desk ".
8. Rise now and work harder , concentrate your energies in common direction to achieve organizational goal and let your energies not work against each other. Marathon runner is physically and mentally stronger than a 100 meter sprinter.
best wishes ,
