Department has also banned use of mobile phones by teachers in classrooms. The teachers have been directed to deposit their cell phones with the headmaster before going to the classrooms.

Banning anything, especially technology at the hands of younger people, is a retrograde step. Instead, children should not be proactively accessing mobile during classes. Everyone should keep phones in silent mode and follow some discipline. more
Parents mollycoddle kids! Yes, best governments legislate, and school enforces. more
I agree. Mobile phones physiologically harmful for kids. more
Total ban in schools is a necessity more

Mr. Mani you have a Mobil when you are in school ? more
Before mobile phones, child faced an emergency too. Parent is God almighty? Respect teachers also. Keep child in parent's lap otherwise. more
