The trolleys are useful only in terminal stn.s .At other places we are at the mercy of porters.Recently when I and my wife both sr.citizens had to travel to Dadar with our g.son of 5 yrs we had to catch the MS-DR exp. at 6.45 a.m we had to wait for 10 min.s just to reach across the road to the entry gate by 6.30 a.m.As the train was at pf 7 the porter demanded.Rs 400 and nothing less.At Egmore stn. Pf 7 is only 3 tracks across but the bridge is at far end.Tho' there is a way to cross the tracks at one end with trolleys and strolley bags ,due to odd arrangement one has to go thro' 3 u turns on other 2 pf.s to reach pf 7 !so,the porter haggled till it was 5 min.s to go and agreed for Rs 300, but only to dump it in the coach just as the signal was given and forced me to pay Rs50 more. Also once u have called a porter no one else will touch your baggage ! more

For a right pay to local porters at any railway station, system should develop like once we enter to a station there should be weighing machine and a railway authorised officer who will see our luggage weight and as per rules we can pay to porters ,it can save our time, money and extra luggage issues also can be avoided, current weighing machine are not at entrance doors, more
