Life after debt

The recent demolition drive for constructions over storm water drain though legally tenable, is not justified because lack of machinery to identify legality of properties is not made available to the citizens, who are taken for a ride by the builders in connivance with government machinery and lending Housing Finance Companies and banks, for no fault on their part who literally lost everything (Na ghar ka, na ghat ka). The plight of those lost is unimaginable and comparable at par with Indo-Pak partition. Had the artificial scarcity of housing is not deliberately created to squeeze public of their sweat and blood, probably this would not have happened. "Roti, Kapada and Makaaan" are the dire needs of any human and the government should ensure provisions for the same at least to those who pay for it, instead of leaving citizens to lurch, fending themselves. Strict laws to ensure that all property details and dealings are listed on a government website that are available for purchase after legally verified by the Sub-Registrars legal verification cell and only such properties should be registered after which Housing Finance Companies and banks should release funds (anyway 15% to 25% property value are to be borne by purchasers) to safeguard the interests of prospective buyers and preferably all developers, builders and general public should be made liable to register on the government web site to sell their properties only through banks and HFCs authorised by the legal cell of Sub-Registrar's office without which no registration would be done to alleviate aftermath. This way black money could also get arrested if the government really wants to curb. Properties should be insured by default and the insurance charges for all calamities and aftermath are also included in property value in public interest. Concerned authorities might consider my request in citizens' interest & well-being. more

Mr. Jerry, good evening. Anything in India is possible & everything is impossible . A country separated vast latitude of cultures, opinions & wellbeing.At the stroke of midnight when the world sleep, we are doomed. It was wrong to ask for independence when we are not competent enough. Hitler was responsible for our freedom. The learned British knew we remain " gulams for ever" even if iliberated due to our self centered attitude & granted independence with vested interests due to our great netas with vested interests. My proposal was for future listings in the website but we Indians are competent in outwitting the best of super computers the world aware. Sorry state of affairs more  
My question is today for example if BBMP publishes the list of encroachments in their website and assuming you are safe. What guarantee is there BBMP will not come 5 yrs later and say sorry guys we made a mistake then, the correct one is now? Can you say this will not happen. This is the most pathetic thing. The land laws in Bangalore is totally messed up big time. Do you refer CDP plan, village map or revenue plan. What is the reference?. When village become part of city will farming be part of city?. The map should be changed to reflect reality (of course lakes and other environmental things have to be kept as it is). Nowhere in the world this happens.Then don't add the village to city limits keep it panchayat. People advising genuineness of property . How many people before this recent incident knew that there is buffer zones for rajakaluves too? Is it marked in CDP plan / village map the buffer zone? You can depend on lawyers (paying for their services), verifying in BBMP all these and that time these people say its ok go ahead buy the property. Later when issue comes they say oh its correct that issue is there. Whose money is lost? (We are not land experts to know all this then I better start a land consulting firm!!!). Just expressing my frustration. If it was any other place the people would have come out on streets and protested severely even bandh, hartel etc. after giving approval you are demolishing. For citizen its govt that gives approval (eventhough it might be corrupt officers that govts headache how you deal with them / provide compensation as per Sale deed). I end by saying land laws in Bangalore is worst in all of India if not in the world. more  
All property details should be made available on government website & registration should not be done on fictious or unauthorized properties more  
How can one know When concerned authorities themselves are not sure of the genuineness of properties. Bills are passed for construction of bridges where no river exists, lakes are allowed to be filled up in broad daylight to form sites and sold only to reclaim after decades etc more  
While buying a property it is our job to know all the required details available. Otherwise no one to be blamed for the failure in doing so. more
