Life of a Police Officer
All Government servants who are sincere to their duties are 24 hours Government servant who have to attend to their duties when they are summoned for it even at midnight. This happens even to those who are in various departments of Govts., like Revenue, Electricity, Secretariat officials, emergency duty attending officials etc. These people are necessarily have to encounter the 'cross line' of politicians, higher insincere bureaucrats etc. Generally most of the departments are not fully staffed and many vacancies are not filled up either due to official exigencies or wantonly in order to reduce the staff strength. These officials when called for have to attend early in the morning or sit late in the nights or do the assigned work through out the night.Example during floods, election work etc. But such exigencies occur not as frequently as in the case of police deptt., officials. Perhaps they require at least 15days special leave every year to relax themselves. more
