It gives good sound to listen that Chennai Municipal Corporation had at last woken up and realised its responsibilities in making availability of clean drinking water, clean & pure air to breath and a clean city with its clean surroundings to its citizens to live in healthy. Chennai Municipal Corporation have done a great job by bringing in the "Amended Bye-laws" making provisions for strict actions including hefty fines ('danda' as described in the post) against the offenders, who are found guilty of making the city dirty in any way. Frankly speaking, looking to the inclination of our people, particularly, the new generation, towards indiscipline & lawlessness and their arrogance & disrespect towards the nation's systems & laws. In my personal opinion, these are the result of getting unlimited liberty in the name of 'democracy' to behave and lead our own life without caring for anything & any one multiplied with the behaviour of our political parties, who politicise everything misguiding the common men to gain political advantage with no or least concern for the nation. Lawlessness and indiscipline has now crossed all limits and 'Danda" treatment is the only way to bring our people on the track, which should be applied by the administrations everywhere without any provisions for excuse. more
