Linking of Aadhar with Mobile/ Insurance/Bank etc
I refer to some of the post where the members are discussing about linking of Aadhar with various services like mobile, insurance, bank, etc. Some of the members have been even suggesting that if we are the honest, why should we get worried about data security or sharing with any tom beacon and harry. I am just attaching a newspaper report about frauds with the perspective public through stealing of data at just Rs. 6/- . My take on the subject is by linking all the data with Aadhar, you are likely to be exposed to such fraudulent practices and such fraudulent practices would only get multiplied. I have also not understood as to how and in what way the linking of mobile number is of utmost importance to the Government. more

Misuse of Funds, Subsidies, Grants etc., have had been in all ISSUES. Many Banks Savings, Deposits, also had been under MISUSE. Cards and email also had been trapped. Aadhar Card is also one of such in the Ocean BUT, DEFINITELY CURTAILS SUCH CARRIED LOOTS OF FUNDS OF Government, FINANCES OF common, poor general public BESIDES FAST LOCATE THE CULPRITS if connected with Phones and Bank Accounts since all transactions will since now route to only Bank Accounts only for achieving Secured Economic practice in the Nation. more

Sir, if there is a hue and cry for leakage of facebook data why there should not be hue and cry for leakage of aadhar data. First of all data leakage of facebook does not affect financially to the citizens and financial economy of the country. On the contrary, the leakage of aadhar data is capable of making you as a beggar and turmoil of the economy of the country. Is it not a joke someone saying aadhar data is kept in a godown of 13 ft high with wall thickness of 5 ft. I agree with you. This is what I am also trying to sensitize the issue of data security irrespective of your affiliation with any political parties or whether one is honest or not. Data security is of utmost importance and could not be compromised. more

True. But were frauds not occurring without the linkage? How does one go about then? Simply put would it not be advisable to consider linkage of Aadhar without displaying the details? Say a new link is developed by the Govt. by asking a question whether you are Aadhar compliant? The answer would be only in YES or NO. If compliant, you could go further. If not, the transaction would be arrested there and then and you could not go any further. If my memory serves me right, the Income Tax site has this facility. This is one way out. The necessity of Aadhar linkage is important but so is the privacy of identity. This cannot be denied. Both have to survive. Does any one stop using the internet because pornography is available on it and our children are exposed to it at a tender age? Every system has its advantages and disadvantages. So let us come together to arrest the disadvantages and apply our minds constructively to find ways and means to overcome this. Is it not a fact that police would not be required if there is no crime? Would crime stop? Positivity and negativity make two sides of a coin. They cannot be separated. more

Sir, exactly the same thing I am saying. This Govt is going left and right in linking any tom beacon and harry service without having a proper system in place. We need to have gone step by step but the Govt has at least shown that it has only the agenda of Aadhar during its terms. I feel there was no necessity of linking mobile service, insurance and mutual finds at least in the first phase. The Aadhar was brought in only for the purpose of DBT. Another area where it is not understood about the purpose of seeking Aadar is why the hotels and lodges be required to get copy of the Aadhar.
If the mobiles have not been mandated to be linked at least the frauds with banking transactions may be felt somewhat secured.
Secondly what is the remedy for the frauds done onto the citizens. Who is going to compensate? If the Govt is planning to compensate then the burden on tax payers money like fraud by Nirav Modi or Vijay Maalya which is direct burden on tax payers and many more Nirav Modis would take birth due to such easy route of frauding with data leakage. more

Sir, what may be sound logic to you may not be sound logic to someone else. And what may be sound logic to you.today may not be sound logic to even you yourself tomorrow when you get more information. So though it's fine to state your views based on sound logic, it is not in our culture to use inappropriate language. Arguments amongst the learned sages of earlier times of this country, generally of opposing views were a very common but they focussed on issues rather than personal attacks.
