List of states profiteering on petrol diesel
The nine states that did NOT cut value added tax VAT on petrol and diesel after the central govt's excise duty cut, earned Rs 12,441 Cr in additional revenues. They are:
Maharashtra, West Bengal Delhi Tamil Nadu Telangana Andhra Pradesh Kerala Jharkhand Lakshadweep.
If u live in any of these states you should express the demand to state government to lower VAT rate on petrol diesel.

Do you know in the last 8 years how much tax center has increased and how much states have increased? For example, central excise duty is increased by 294% and 612% for petrol and diesel respective in last 8 years but Telangana has not increased VAT at all. It remains same 35.2% for petrol and 27% for diesel. Similar situation for other states as well. Now tell me who has more scope to reduce the taxes? more

Also do you have data of how much amount central government earned profit from not reducing prices and increasing excise duty. while crude oil was down to 0 USd per barrel more

What should be done by other state citizen, who are paying 105-110 Rs per liter for petrol. Should they feel happy and enjoy that bumper benefit, or they also ask center for a fair price of petrol @ 70-75Rs per liter. more
