Is Listerine Mouth Wash Linked to Cancer?

In another shocking news, scientists have found that the daily use of Listerine Cool Mint Mouthwash may be linked to an increased risk of colorectal cancer.

A scientist has even urged caution regarding its regular use.

Let’s back up a bit. What is Colorectal Cancer?

Colorectal cancer affects the colon and rectum, part of the digestive tract.

It's one of the most common cancers, with risk factors including diet, lifestyle, & potentially now, certain oral hygiene products.

Research claims that the after daily usage of the moth wash bacteria-Fusobacterium nucleatum & Streptococcus anginosus – linked to cancer, were more abundant in the mouth.

What the scientists recommend?
- Limit daily use of Listerine Cool Mint.
- Consider alternative mouthwashes.
- Maintain regular dental hygiene with safe products. more

All toothpastes contains foaming agents. Try using ayurveda pastes or dandhmangans, as these are foaming agents free. Wash with edible alum powder or wash with salt Luke warm water. more  
Always resort to salt water gargle in lukewarm water for mouth wash, don't use any chemically treated items. Problem solved, yet I don't think Listerine will affect stomach cancer. more  
Listerin is very old brand product and it was used by people for more than five or six decades. There was no complain from an user and Doctor also. It's truly shocking to know such serious impact. Still it's better to have more analysis as such incidence we had witnessed for other products. Validity of such research findings is also a question besides taking precautionary measures to protect health. more
