Lockdown Enforcement is failing

Though Delhi Govt is listening to our circle surveys and Kejriwal even cited it yesterday as he extended lockdown by 1 week, problem is enforcement is poor and that is why despite 14 days of lockdown we have 25000-27000 cases. See attached.

The circles need to debate and proposed a model to make lockdown stricter. Only those out for medicines hospital admission testing vaccination or cremation may be permitted. Rest all must stay home. more

The statistics, if authentic, will not lie. The difference in logistics, as compared to last year, that I've noticed is that while last year at least two policemen were stationed at the point of every barricade, this year the barricade, at least in front of our house, is there but with no guards. And, despite lockdown one observes people going up and down the roads like "nothing has happened", there's no one to check them, like it was the case last year. The height of impunity was when until yesterday construction work was being continued at the building right across the road. I MEAN, FOLKS, WHERE IS OUR SENSE OF RESPONSIBILITY AND OUR COMMON SENSE? more
Lockdown is failing due to new strain of virus which is far more contagious than ever. Also we already have a high number of patients and their kin are running from post to pillar to try and provide whatever medical help they can. These kin are moving from one hosital to another, one chemist to another, one point from another in search of oxygen, begging one person or another in search of plasma. This KIN himself/herself is covid positive and in course of searches spreads virus to different locations. It is most unfortunate but in END moving from one cremation place to another in search of final resting place. Also the covid vaccination centres are seeing unprecedented crowds due to fear of death. These centres have themselves become a Covid Hotspot. We have to wait for few days more for pressure falling on health system. Once this running around ends the cases shall fall. more
Lockdown should be taken more seriously by every body. Then only we will succeed. more
Enforcement must be at Labs. COVID paituens are visiting for different labs tests even RT PCR. As the hone collection system is totally uncontrollable. Lot delays and error us reports. Corporates are doing fine with Work from home. Large and crowded markets MUST not open . Local essential markets must follow protocols or threaten to cancel the registration. Auto and e ricshaws are bad. No one can check if the person sitting us COVID positive or not. more
For the lockdown to be effective, we the people should behave responsibly. The government can do only so much! more
