Lockdown Relaxation: Restrict people, Permit Goods

What is the issue Govt has on this. Why are they looking at relaxing things in districts with cases. There should be clear directive all districts with even 1 case after april 1 stays closed. Just red and green. No orange because orange is always confusion.

As far as goods movement goes its a need of thr hour. U cant expect people to not get ac cooler repaired and not even buy new. I mean come on.
Lockdown cannot mean torture

Which kind of torture you are talking about? Inability to purchase ACs/Coolers can't be torture by any means. Definitely saving lives of millions of people is much more important than purchasing luxury by a small section of the society. Are not the benefits already derived from the lock down against the forecast of the world's experts that by the middle of April the number of infected Indians would surpass a million visible? As far as supply of essentials during the lock down is concerned, there is no report from any part of the country of short supplying of these items. Meanwhile, some relaxation has already been allowed since 20th April in certain areas and we should await till the end of the lock down, when more relaxations are expected even if the lock down is not completely rolled back, which fully depends upon the prevailing situation. Till then we should await optimistically.. Meantime, stay home, stay safe. more
The following excerpt from TOI goes to show in how far the lockdown has been helpful: However, the Union Health Ministry on Monday said the rate at which India's Covid-19 cases were doubling in the last one week improved to 7.5 days, compared with 3.4 days before the nationwide lockdown was imposed. Lav Agarwal, Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Health, informed that 18 states and UTs had shown an improvement over the national average doubling time — Kerala topped with 72.2 days. He also said 59 districts have not reported a single case in a fortnight. more
very true; normalcy should be the regular life pattern; unusual lockdown for too long will do more damage to the society and economy; lockdown is akin to hiding from problem; instead, problem should be encountered and remedy should be evolved; lockdown itself will not any day eradicate Covid. Human population of 138 crores in india is an added culprit; no one talks of that; Covid is controlling the human population explosion. more
No one can really say when fresh cases of the covid 19 will stop. It will be months before this is accomplished. So what do we do? Stay at home for months on end? How will the government tackle the issue when people in Mumbai and Pune are thronging the streets for whatever reason whilst we in a gated society are not even allowed to step out. Domestic workers are the least affected. They are demanding their salaries and we have to cough it up even though we are doing their jobs. Construction work has commenced in Mumbai and Pune. Do these cities already over-populated need more housing? Government think of your country and not greed. more
Let us all forget Covid-19 happened. Let us start our usual life style. Spit on the road, vehicles, health workers, police and your own father. One 52 seater bus come empty 14 people at stop and all want to get inside the bus.The queue at the ATM is for "poor,BPL,garib" admi. The ablest get in first. Since the road accident kills more people let us open up all roads without speed limit so that we can compete with Chinese made Covid-19 and reduce our population.A challenge to the nature. No one should be unemployed.Drug dealers, pick pockets, vehicle lifters need employment. I am for removing the lock an throw the key away. At least we can beat the fascist western countries.Go ahead. I miss the chaos. more
