Long distance trains

There is one train from Ajmer to Ernakulam (Marusagar Express) via Jaipur-Kota-Ratlam. Inspite of long pending demand of running this train from Jaipur/Ajmer to Ernakulam through Bhilwara-Chittorgarh-Ratlam-Ernakulam the railway has not taken into consideration. There is no train in this route to South whereas several trains are running through Kota region. If this train run through Jaipur-Ajmer-Bhilwara-Chittorgarh route time and distance (360km) saving is there, and a large number of passengers belongs to south will be benefited. Will the concerned authority take suitable action by diverting this train through Bhilwara-Chittorgarh instead of Kota which will benefit railway and passengers both. more

SOME LONG DISTANT TRAINS ARE GIVEN ROUNDABOUT ROUTES.LONG DISTANCE TRAINS FROM THE POINT OF COMMENCEMENT TO THE POINT OF DESTINATION SHOULD TAKE THE SHORTEST ROUTE TO 1) REDUCE INCONVENIENCE TO THE PASSENGERS BY SHORTENING TRAVEL TIME.2) REDUCE COST OF OPERATION TO THE RAILWAYS.3) AVOID EXPENSES TO PASSENGERS ON EXTRA FOOD ETC.INSTEAD OF INCONVENIENCING ALL THE PASSENGERS BY TRAIN TAKING ROUNDABOUT ROUTE,ONE COMPARTMENT CAN BE MOVED TO THE NEAREST POINT OF LONG DISTANCE TRAIN AND CAN BE ATTACHED TO IT AS USUALLY BEING DONE. more
Thulasi Dharan ji, If you like my suggestion, kindly follow it up with railways, to impliment it. Thanking you. Shirish S. Shanbhag, Mumbai-400089. Dated : 16.7.2014. Email ID : s.s1954@rediffmail.com more
I welcome this suggestion also. Thanks more
I agree with Thulasi Dharan. However, I feel that another train on Ajmer-Bhilwara-Chittorgad-Ratlam-Ernakulam may be run. Or at Ratlam, existing train may be split up, to run part via Ratlam-Kota-Jaipur-Ajmer and another part to run via Chittorgarh-Bhilwara-Jaipur-Ajmer. This will benefit passengers from both the lines going to southern India. Shirish S. Shanbhag, Mumbai-400089. Dated: 16.7.2014 Email ID: s.s1954@rediffmail.com more
